The myth of Sisyphus is one of the oldest meditations on human perseverance: the man condemned to push an enormous boulder to the top of a hill, watch it roll back down, and begin again — forever. Albert Camus famously argued we must imagine Sisyphus happy, because in the repetition of the task, in the ownership of the struggle, there is something that transcends the futility of the outcome. This sculpture captures Sisyphus at the moment of maximum effort — the boulder, the hill, the figure that keeps going anyway. Cast in 999+ fine silver with an antique patina, every muscled line of the figure and the weight of the stone are hand-finished to bring this timeless subject to life in precious metal.
